About Us

Founded in 2009, Makai Mobile Rehab provides in home physical therapy and rehabilitation services to those who are homeward bound or prefer to stay at home due to lack of convenient transportation, recent surgery, or poor balance/fall risk.

Using a one on one approach, we guide our patients through manual therapy and exercise programs specific to their condition.

Whether in a residential home, care home, or an adult day care center, we teach exercises that can be done using the surroundings to maximize the benefits of in home physical therapy. We are here for your in home physical therapy and rehab needs.

We accept all forms of insurance except workers comp and no fault.

Staff

Jason Dacumos PT, MPT, OCS - Owner and Founder

After working seven years in busy clinical outpatient settings, Jason ventured out and worked part time for a small home health agency. It was during this time he witnessed the dire need for physical therapy services in the “home” setting.  He felt a calling from God to serve in this area. Motivated by his passion to help people he started his practice and has been helping people accomplish their goals ever since.

When he is not working, Jason enjoys surfing, fishing and spending time with his wife, three children and dog.

Yunsim Suehisa PT, DPT - Physical Therapist

Yunsim was born and raised in Korea. She has experience in various settings including neurologic rehab at an oriental medicine hospital, orthopedic rehab at a private clinic, and musculoskeletal rehab at SK Hynix semiconductor company while pursuing a master’s degree in ergonomic therapy at Yonsei University.

After moving to Hawaii, she worked with pediatric clients at Harris Therapy and the Easter Seal early intervention program. She joined Makai Mobile Rehab in 2016 and enjoys working with people who need to improve their strength, flexibility, gait and balance skills, so they can reach their rehabilitation goals.

Yunsim enjoys traveling, jogging, hiking, working out at the gym, and family time with her husband, two children and pup “Strawberry”.

Christina Matsuda DPT, PT - Physical Therapist

Christine was born and raised in Hawaii, pursuing her undergraduate studies with a business degree in Accounting and International Business from Santa Clara University. After working in accounting, she soon realized her passion for physical therapy, graduating from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at California State University, Northridge in 2021. After living throughout various parts of California for over a decade, she decided to move home and serve the community in which she grew up. She has experience working in outpatient clinical settings, neurological rehabilitation, and aquatic based rehab. During her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog and continuing her recent hobbies of pickleball and golf.
